Sir Atticus

My husband loves me. He's the one in the yellow 'Alaska' shirt. He went on a weekend camping trip and came back with the sweetest gift for me. That's me holding him. Now I have a playmate when he's gone. You can't see now, but he has blue eyes with a purple ring around them. It's so beautiful.

Here is a better picture. You can see his pretty blues:

I spent the last 3 days with these kids-my nieces and nephew. They are going to be here all week. I don't get to see them often because they live in New Orleans (and they are all survivors of hurricane katrina). There is also another one on the way, and it's going to be a boy! yay! I love hanging out with them. They are all so funny and so smart.

picture-ful chocolate

My sister bought some edible transfers last year for the bridal shower she threw for me. She made some bite-size chocolates. They were so adorable that we promised to make some more. Well a year later we finally did! They were so fun to make, and they turned out wonderfully.

Sorry if you can't see the pics very well-it was with a phone...

Lilies

I was at the store and found this bunch for 4.49. I grabbed them. I made sure to get one that had a lot of unopened blooms on it. They grow so fast-two of those bloomed in 2 days. And they smell oh so wonderful. It definitely livens this room.

Martha Stewart's farm party

How beautiful is this table?! Those peonies are just amazing. Martha Stewart had a "Peony Party" where people come for a fun summer evening and enjoy the food, weather, and views. This lady has got the life.

i love your weird

I just came across this photographer, Louis Park. I love his art direction and the colors. I don't think I've seen a style quite like this. You HAVE to see more...

High School Seussical

I realized tonight that I'm sitting home alone watching High School Musical 1 and 2 in order. It's not totally bad. I've been snacking on toast and 74% dark chocolate. I've never seen so much color and impromptu musical numbers. Where do those mics come from? They must be sore from all the gyrating hips and snapping head movements. I had to take breaks. I periodically switched over to the food network, and maybe if I was feeling like I wanted to waste a lot of time, the style channel, where I felt the stress in that life threatening decision to pick out the perfect wedding dress. I guess the tween in me was really needing a recap of my teenage years. I remember singing about everything I felt too. And it felt so good once I hit that high G. Being a teenager is SO HARD.

Hermes gown

I thought this gown was just gorgeous. Even though she's pregnant, I still think it would suit somebody who wasn't. I love the color and the detailing. And, of course, the silhouette.

Yeondoo Jung

An artist from Korea. She takes children's artwork and then transfers them to photographs. I can't imagine how fun it would be to create these sets, costumes, and props. Her website here.

Trees to be

I don't remember how I came across this online store, but I felt it was a good product for a good price. I love this idea-it's especially good for those apartments dwellers like myself!

I wish I'd been here. I don't understand how people have the money to do this..?
