Russian Pointe

I've been on a hunt to find some other pointe shoes that fit. Fit correctly, I mean. DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD THIS IS FOR ME?? Apparently I have the worlds best and worst foot. The people from The Red Shoes in Pasadena California are insisting that these are the brand for me. I don't know if I'm convinced yet...

Maybe I will look like this?..ps. she's only 11!!

it's been a week

Wow, so it has. I didn't realize it had been that long since I blogged. I took this picture to capture the way that the caramel seems to fall perfectly over that apple.

Oktoberfest

Geez, I'm terrible at keeping up to date on things. Matt and I got up to the Oktoberfest a couple of weeks ago. We wanted to go for a beautiful fall mountain drive. So we took it as an excuse to go have a good German bratwurst at the festival in Snowbird. It was a beautiful drive as you can see. And of course, those Germans sure know how to cook a brat.

Coffee Table

Matt and I finally got to spend some time together on Wednesday. We decided we could go coffee table hunting. We really love this great consignment shop down on Pierpont Ave called Elemente. We looked and found this. Matt totally has the final say on everything that goes in the family room. He's in love.

ps. sorry about the lighting-it was in the basement of the store. And no, that lamp is definitely not coming home with us.

Caramel Apples

I finally made caramel apples. I have never done it before, but my mom gave me some great homegrown granny smith apples, so I had to use them for something right??

I'm back, and it's so cold

I just got back from California late last night. I had so much fun. The Griddle, Trader Joe's, Toi thai food, Sprinkles (yes, THE Sprinkles as seen on Oprah and they are Oh So Good), H&M, Leonidas, and PinkBerry. We actually went a few other places too. It was a much needed hang out time.

I'm off to the great state of California

And I'm so excited. I am going to eat some of my favorite things this weekend: pancakes and In-N-out Burger. I'm going to shop at my favorite grocery store too: Trader Joes. yum yum yummy.

Be back Monday...

Rice to Riches

If you only knew how great this place was. I've been inside, but didn't have time to wait in the long line to get some rice pudding the last time I was in NYC. All they have are several kinds of rice pudding. It's one of my favorites. Just look at all these flavors!! And you'd never believe how awesome the design is inside. It's such a fun place to go.

Anthropologie sweater

Of course sweaters come with fall. I saw this in the Anthropologie catalog, and it just looks so comfy. I love how they paired it with a dress and dark tights.
